A Year of Growth

Last month, I got back from Rochester, NY. I went to college there and happened to be in town for a friend’s wedding. During my time in Rochester, the Women’s March was happening locally and all over the country. This was my second Women’s March. This month marks the first year that Rad Sister has been in business. I can’t believe it has already been a year.

In my first year I have:

-hired two different interns to help me on my journey

-made Rad Sister an LLC

-created t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, stickers, totes and tanks

-begged my friends to be my models (thanks guys!)

-cried from exhaustion and being overwhelmed

-spoken on a small business panel

-collaborated with other women owned businesses

-been supported by a stranger

-gotten messages about how people can’t wait to buy things for their friends and family

-doubted myself more than I have believed in myself

-learned a lot

I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for the amazing people who have supported Rad Sister along the way. You have all made my day by ordering something. I smile when I think about people wearing stuff that just a few months ago, was an idea in my head. My goal for this upcoming year is to walk by someone in public that is wearing Rad Sister. I think that would be the best feeling ever.

Thanks for supporting my small business, and for telling your friends about it. Someday we will change the world. Let’s go girls.
